Love That Makes Us Whole

I want to note the difference between deliverance and healing as they relate to human restoration. Believers too often want to be ‘delivered’ from the effects of their fractured hearts but with little investment in their own sanctification . ‘Telling your story’ is touted as another way to healing, often opening up holes of buried sin in themselves and their trespassers without the redeeming power of the Cross. ‘Confessing’ publicly can also be problematic without Godly repentance. Each of these I observe in believers who still want to go around the Cross of Christ, preferring God just fix them, instead of coming face to face with Him. Yet facing our Heavenly Father is where healing actually is. The end result is so often a temporary high with no real washing of the inner-man; no sanctification.
